About this piece
A distinctive pair of French, Louis XV Style, Bergere Armchairs, circa 1900. Hand carved in solid beech and originally painted in a warm French grey but the paintwork has now nicely faded to reveal some of the the aged wood work beneath. The chairs have a vintage red velvet with the original upholsterer's stud work.
