About this piece
A French, early 19th Century, Louis XVI style 'Corbeille' Sofa. This petit, curved sofa has a generous seat depth that makes it comfortable to sit in. It has very fine carving and beautiful lines that makes it lovely to view from all angles. The original paint finish is an old white that now has a textured age distressed patination, revealing some of the blond wood tones beneath. The sofa has been newly upholstered in a vintage style fabric which has been finished in a contrasting, claret red piping trim.
